HELP IS VERY NEEDED FOR A VERY SPECIAL PERSON...
I am a long-time friend of a wonderful, hard-working woman named Lesley Bracker. She has been farming for nearly 30 years, most recently raising alpacas, and also caring for her elderly mother, with her sister, in her home. Their precious mom struggled (but always with an amazing smile) through an inconceivable number health issues during the past several years - surgeries and even some heart-wrenching amputations right around Thanksgiving - she provided 24-hour care for her with unending patience and love and wouldn't have had it ANY other way. Fiercely committed to allowing her mother to live out her days at home, Lesley had been unable to work for over a year as she could not leave the house. Her own health has suffered as a result of the stress and fatigue (though never a complaining word came out of her mouth).
Lesley has really 'been there' for so many people, in countless ways, and it is her turn to be blessed in a mighty way with some desperately-needed help. As bills became backed up, getting back on track looks like an endless climb at this juncture...and her vehicle has become undriveable. First and foremost, she needs a new truck or car as running a farm is impossible without one (we all need one!)...just getting hay for the animals is an enormous feat not to mention doing all of the day-to-day things that we take for granted with our cars.
Possibly forced to sell her beloved home, Lesley has been trying to refinish floors and do other prepatory things to get it into showable-shape - it is nearly impossible to do this and work at the same time (which has become harder for her physically, too, at nearly 70).
Lesley is highly dedicated to animal welfare and lives with several precious rescue dogs and cats - another huge reason to need an operable vehicle.
Her dear mama passed away at the end of the year, right at Christmastime...she and her sister are picking up the pieces and enduring the grieving process which is overwhelming in itself, as most of us know. My heart is so heavy for these women and I decided I just had to seek assistance on their behalf.
If you are able to help, any amount would be a humbly-received blessing to Lesley. I would be so grateful and thrilled to make a difference for her as she has been a gold-hearted friend to me and many others SO selflessly. Her dedication to family goes beyond what most people can or would do - this wonderful person really needs and deserves a break...
