Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,

I am writing this on behalf of one of my very close friends.

We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Avinel Rae De Florio, just 2 years old, has been diagnosed with an incredibly rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. This devastating news has turned our lives upside down and has left her family grappling with overwhelming emotions during this unimaginable time.

Despite being so young, Avi has shown incredible strength, bringing joy and laughter to everyone who knows her. Her smile lights up the room and reminds us all to appreciate the little things in life. Avi is so smart, funny, strong and beautiful! She enjoys getting to visit with her favorite people, snuggle with lots of stuffies and play with her big cousin. Blowing bubbles, naming the planets, singing the ABCs, playing with her hot wheels and giving cuddles are among some of her favorite activities. She has such a kind and gentle heart, but a strong will to be heard and express her mind. She is truly a special soul and has affected the world so much already!

Unfortunately, the medical professionals have informed us that this form of cancer is terminal, and the family is facing the heartbreaking reality of limited time unless a miracle happens, which we are hopeful for.

Avi’s family is now facing medical bills, treatment costs, and the need for care that will allow them to focus on creating beautiful memories together. They want to ensure that Avi is as comfortable as possible and has all the love and support needed during this difficult journey.

We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burden they are facing. Avi’s mom is currently not able to work because her days are faced with multiple hospital visits and focusing on caring for Avi. Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards medical expenses, household bills, and special experiences that they hope to share with Avi during this time.
