Help my neighbor get surgery!

Will you help my friend to get the surgery he needs?  If we all give a little, we can really help this family. . . . 

This man was my neighbour for over 10 years and a dear friend especially during hard times in my life.  He and his wife treated me like family - always looking out for me and helping me out with things.  

He lost his good job in the economic downturn  in 2009 (3 years from retirement) and has since taken anything he could find - but times have been very tough.

I have watched as he has suffered increasingly with pain in his back and legs.  Then his hands started to go numb and walking became difficult.  Which of course has made it difficult to work as well. . . 

He visited several doctors to find an answer but he didn't find out the source of the problem until recently - his wrists were fractured at some point and the nerves have been damaged and caused the pain to radiate down into his body.

Will you help with the deductible and give them a little cushion while he heals after surgery?  Maybe skip going out for dinner one night and instead donate here?

I know there are so many needs all around us so I appreciate if you feel prompted to give here.
