Hi, my name is Alex and this is my babygirl Pinky. She is 12 years old and is a Jack Russell. She is the most energetic, loving, and so smart. She recently went through some extreme health problems, and everywhere we took her, they said our best option would be to make her comfortable and put her down, but we refused to let her go. We were directed to a specialist who diagnosed her with a mammary tumor. They even said the same thing, or we could pay money we don’t have to run some tests to see if she is even okay enough to go under anesthesia and some X-rays. When the doctor came back, they said that everything actually looks a lot better than everyone expected. So, we went ahead and booked the surgery the next day. They said she would have to spend the night, but I ended up getting a call that she did amazing and can come home later that same day. She is currently on bed rest and meds for two weeks and has to go back to get her stitches removed. While we are relieved that there was a treatment option, the cost of the surgery and follow-up care is more than we can handle as a family financially with our current position. The estimated cost for Pinky's surgery, including anesthesia, medication, and post-operative care, is approximately $6,450. We have already put some money toward this, but we are still a huge way off from being able to cover the full amount. And we are still waiting to see if the tumor is benign or not and see if we have to seek further treatment.
