My daughter-in-law Dawn was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma at the end of February 2017 after going for a routine mammogram. My heart broke for her, my son and my grandsons because they have been faced with many challenges over the past decade and have fought them together bravely and tirelessly! Also, Dawn's mom passed away this December, a few days before Christmas. Dawn devoted herself to caring for her mom after her dad passed away in February of 2015. She took care of both of her parents under hospice care and nurtured them lovingly till the end.
Dawn is a kind and loving person who brings joy to so many people in her life. Teaching is her passion and she feels so lucky to be able to work with children every day. She always has a smile and helping hand for someone, lives her life selflessly and looks at the positive side of every situation!
Dawn will be undergoing a bilateral mastectomy at the end of April and will also have to undergo chemotherapy treatments. Economically, this disease will place an overwhelming strain on Dawn and her family. Donations will be put toward medical and other expenses that will be incurred during her fight against cancer. Helping to reduce the financial burden would enable Dawn to focus all of her energy toward recovering from this disease.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
