Would you like to support vulnerable /elderly people around your area?
Trelawney Travels is made up of volunteer carers from Trelawney Care Ltd.
Imagine being lonely and not having the chance to enjoy a simple day out. That's the reality for many vulnerable and elderly folks in our community. Unfortunately, we visit many clients on a day to day basis who are experiencing loneliness and isolation Due to physical limitations and circumstances access to attractions and events that we take for granted become very challenging. Trelawney Travels believe that every individual has the right to live as full a life as possible and we aim to address these issues by organising regular events and excursions that are accessible and give clients a social outlet and therefore improve mental and physical stimulation and well-being.
With Trelawney Travels, we want to change that by organizing regular excursions that can lift their spirits and avoid social isolation. Our aim is to raise enough money to be able to provide regular day excursions which would cover the cost for the hire of a suitable vehicle and driver, experienced carers to ensure everyone's needs are met throughout the day, entry costs of venues and refreshments.
By fund raising we hope to be able to remove any financial barriers that would inhibit these aims and goals and provide the best opportunities that we can
Together we can help avoid social isolation.
Already, we have been able to organise regular excursions which include:
• Tea and cake at Trevaskis Farm
• A Christmas party
• Pantomime
• Animal Encounters
• King’s Coronation Party
• Another Christmas Party
• Games event
And next month we are hosting a Easter celebration which includes, arts and crafts, cookie / bun decorating and a Easter Egg hunt.
With your support, we will be able to carry on providing different events for the elderly / vulnerable in the community
A small donation could go a long way in helping to avoid social isolation which is becoming more of a concern amongst our vulnerable adults.
