Steve's Cancer Battle

My name is Stephanie Houlihan and I started this fundraiser for my parents, Steve and Melinda Thomas. On Sunday, May 4th, my dad went to the hospital after some concerning symptoms he'd been having for over a week. At the ER, they ran tests and told him that they believed his cancer had returned. In May of 2021, he had a stem cell transplant and has done well until now. He is very sick, and his doctors are still trying to finalize the full diagnosis so they can make sure to get the right treatment started. He has had a lot of complications over the last week with getting all the testing done because his condition is very unstable right now.

My mom, Melinda, has had to be out of work for a week and a half now and will continue to be by my dad's side. With my dad on disability and my mom out of work, they have very little money coming in. My dad is in the hospital at UT Southwestern in Dallas, about an hour away from home. So, my mom has been by his side and is incurring additional costs of meals, parking, etc., while she stays in the hospital with him.

They appreciate all the prayers and love being sent their way, and if you are able to contribute financially, I know they would be so grateful. They are not people to ask for help, but sometimes life throws you some things that are just too overwhelming, and so God has put people in our lives to help us out during those times.
