Our dear friend and coach, Jerry Overbeck and his family need our help right now.

On Friday Dec. 2, following the Reading Varsity Basketball game, Jerry went into cardiac arrest. He was unresponsive for more than five minutes, suffering a severe heart attack.  Jerry was hospitalized for several days before being released with approximately 20% of his heart functioning.  He will wear a life vest 24 hours a day as he undergoes extensive rehabilitation to help increase function of his heart.  It is unknown when he'll be able to return to work.  

We're asking our community of friends and family to band together and donate to help cover the considerable medical fees and costs for his family while he recovers.  Any donation large or small will be a huge help to Jerry.  

Jerry is truly a great guy that doesn’t think twice about helping others.  He's been a loyal supporter and dedicated coach to Reading Schools for many years. Please help in honoring his giving spirit in his time of need.
