November 12, 2020 update:

I’m writing to give you an update on Cindy’s health journey. My last update was June 8th, after our 3-month mold-remediation was completed, and we moved back into our home on May 3.
NEW DIAGNOSIS:
Cindy's recovery has been slow, which is typical of an auto-immune disorder. Because of COVID-19, we haven’t been able to travel to North Carolina to meet with her specialist. However, after multiple phone consultations and through testing, the specialist has now diagnosed Cindy with “Auto-Immune Inflammatory Disorder” as a root cause of her pain, fatigue, and difficulty treating the Lyme Disease, Epstein-Barr mono virus, Fibromyalgia, and other systemic deficiencies.
NOVEMBER 12 TRIP TO SPECIALIST! IMMEDIATE NEED: $2,000.00.

NOVEMBER 12 TRIP TO SPECIALIST! IMMEDIATE NEED: $2,000.00.
Over the past two months the doctor has ordered several expensive lab tests, treatment protocols, and a specialized diet, the cost of which has caught us by surprise.
We are finally cleared to travel to Charlotte, NC for an extended consultation and testing with her Specialist today, Thursday, November 12. The doctor will reveal the main areas of inflammation discovered in one test, discuss Cindy’s ongoing symptoms, evaluate current treatments, and receive orders for further testing and changes in treatment and diet.
We are grateful beyond words for your faithful love, prayers, and donations to support Cindy in her ongoing battle for healing from her debilitating, daily pain, and weakness.
Will you prayerfully consider helping us again with a donation of any size as we continue our quest to find a cure for Cindy? Becoming bed-ridden is NOT an option.
And... Please share our story with your friends!
With heartfelt thanks and gratitude,
Jon Simmons, for Cindy too

Dear friends,
I’m writing to give an update on Cindy’s progress and our current need, and to express our gratitude:
THANK YOU for supporting Cindy since we first started our GoFundMe fundraiser in October, to find a cure for her chronic pain and illness!
· Your partnership in prayer and financial gifts made possible multiple trips to Charlotte to meet with her specialist to undergo the in-depth testing to uncover the underlying conditions that were undermining her quality of life and funded the purchase of her treatment protocol.
· Your partnership in prayer and financial gifts uncovered another major factor in her illness, toxic mold in her system.
· To my sister Linda: Thank you for your kindness and generosity, for opening your heart, home (and pantry) to us for three months!
· To my contractor brother, Dan, and son Alex: Thank you for your incredible skill and hard work to put our home back together! You and Alex did awesome, beautiful work!!
· To Scotty Salter and HISCO Environmental: Thank you for your relentless investigation, discovery, and complete treatment of the toxic mold in our home!
