Hello everyone!
First of all, we are a group of 19 Venezuelan students from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) in Caracas, planning to attend the National Model of United Nations (NMUN) that will be held in New York City on April of 2017.
Our university has participated in NMUN since 2007, preparing ourselves a year in advance and making great efforts in order to have an excellent performance each year at the competition.
For our preparation we meet every weekend for 11 months in order to learn all the tools necessary to give our 120% at the conference and in that way, to show that our country still has talent that is worth fighting for, and that we can be also know for our perseverance, education and culture!
Ever since the first year of participation, our University has won 1 Honorable Mention, 5 Distinguished Delegation awards and 8 Outstanding Delegation awards, the highest ranked award in the Model.
For us, attending this conference every year, is a way to fight for our country, to give Venezuela another thing they can be proud of, its a way we can show the world who the true venezuelans are; we are hard working people who give everything they have in order to achieve their goals

Unfortunately we don't have ANY kind of financial support and due to the harsh economic, social and political situation our country is going through (Venezuela is facing the world's largest inflation rate), currently our exchange rate is 1$ equals 2.400BsF for this reason the dream we have of listening our University's name in the United Nations General Assembly Hall for the eleventh time, seems to be farther away than ever.
That is why we need your support, anything you can donate will help us! We dont have words to explain to you how your support will help us.
Raising this money will mean that we get to go to NY once again and represent not only ourselves, but our country and our university in front 5000 students from all over the world.
