Mission

The New Mexico Musicians Relief Fund (NMMRF) helps New Mexico-based musicians of all genres who are financially impacted by gig cancellations due to COVID-19.  The fund gives priority to artists of color, lgbtq+ & non-binary artists, and disabled or immunocompromised artists, but we intend to help all artists who apply based on the funds we receive.

Quotes from NMMRF recipients

"Been meaning to make a video promoting your fund. I'm a disabled Nednhi Apache Two Spirit living with Complex PTSD, Bipolar, OCD & Asthma. The Pandemic has really made it difficult to find gig work, even online. There are a ton of artists right now struggling. People don't always value art but imagine if people had to manage through a pandemic without music, art, film & writing? Art in any form is so important, it does matter what we do. Thank you all for the time I qualified in the past, it helped so much. Thank you for doing what you do, it really makes a difference in people's lives."

"Thank you. This definitely helps. As an artist, and a Covid 19 survivor, I want to commend you on your good, and probably taxing work on behalf of artists and performers in NM. Stay well and safe."

"Thank you, Melissa, Derrick, Severo, Delbert, and Thomas and the NMMRF. I, and all the other working musicians in New Mexico, appreciate you looking out for us with the pandemic and losing so much work."

"We appreciate you doing this for the artists. It has been hard on performing groups with all the cancellation of engagements, especially for myself and my dance company. Thank you and many blessings."

"Dear Melissa, Derrick, Severo, Delbert, and Thomas, Thank you so much for your kind and much needed gift! I'm grateful and appreciative of all your efforts to support NM musicians during this strange time. I look forward to getting back into safe action in the year to come. Yours In Music."
