Help Rescue the Rescuer!
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Elizabeth Mathis. I am raising money for my friend of nearly 20 years, Jama Hedgecoth. She founded and operated Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary and Rehabiliation Center for over 30 years, until recent events stole her dream, her livelihood, and will soon take her home.
Sadly, a group of rogue board of director members decided to take over Noah’s Ark. They are now shifting it away from its original mission of saving all animals, toward a money making exotic animal zoo. Abandoned dogs and cats are no longer being accepted. Injured wildlife no longer find a place of refuge for healing here. Low cost spay and neuter programs offered by a volunteer veterinarian were ceased and long term partnerships working with local rescues were halted.
Jama has been vehemently outspoken against their evil actions! As a result of her determination to continue her rescue mission of saving all animals, the rogue board members decided to silence her once and for all, so they fired Jama. They terminated her family’s health insurance. They are now working to evict her and her 6 adopted children from their home on the grounds of the sanctuary. In addition, they have worked tirelessly to block Jama from even drawing unemployment; to date they have succeeded. This leaves Jama without any income.
As we approach the holidays, Jama has no means to support the children and they face losing their home very soon.
Please help Jama and the children through this time of uncertainty. Your donation will help provide food and clothing for the children. It will put gas in the car’s gas tank and take care of other expenses. It will help ensure they have a good Christmas. Any amount you donate is greatly appreciated! Help us help a woman who has devoted her entire life to being a voice for all the injured and abandoned animals who have no ability to speak for or defend themselves. Together we can help rescue the rescuer!
