Saving one kitty at a time

Hi, my name is Jasmin. I am starting this fundraiser to help stray kitties in need. I am a veterinary technician in the Los Angeles area. Earlier this year, several stray kitties started to stop by my home. I started feeding these kitties everyday day and night, leaving food and water stations around my house for any kitties that wanted to stop by. One of the cats "Rachel" was pregnant and later had 4 beautiful kittens "Chandler", "Monica", "Potter" and "Boots". I tried catching momma cat but she was much too fast for me and she did not trust me enough to get close to her and place her in a kennel. I was able to catch the kittens and take them to the clinic I work for. I got them dewormed, vaccinated, flea medicated, spayed and neutered. I cared for them at my home until they were old enough to be adopted. All four kittens are now living their best life at their forever home. Unfortunately, I didn't catch Rachel soon enough before she got pregnant again. On August 5th the day before my birthday Rachel had 5 very cute kittens " "Ellie ","Lexi ","Sara ","Allan " and "Ian ". On August 17th a couple of days before the rains hit I lured Rachel to a very large kennel where I had left some food. I was able to trap her in the kennel of course she immediately got stressed but all she wanted was her babies. After bringing her babies to her she was completely fine and settled nicely. I took Rachel and her babies to the vet the next day to make sure they were doing ok. Although we only got heavy rain in my area it was enough to flood the area where I had laid the outdoor shelters I had made for the stray cats so I am glad I caught the cats when I did. Rachel and her kittens have been under my care since then. A couple of weeks after taking Rachel and her kittens in, a friend of mine reached out to me and told me she found two orphan kittens whose mom got hit by a car. She brought the kittens to me "Leela" and "Fry" although they were very cute they seemed lethargic. They seemed to be about the same age as Rachel's kittens. After giving them a good cleaning I introduced them to Rachel and her babies. Rachel being the sweet momma that she is, adopted these orphan kittens without hesitation. Leela and Fry settled in so quickly it was as if they were part of the litter all along. Four out of the seven kittens have been adopted. I will continue to care for Rachel and her kittens until they get adopted. Rachel was recently spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and flea medicated. I am creating this fundraiser to continue to care for cats like Rachel and do my part by helping those who need it most.
