Support Layla and her family on her journey to remission

Donation protected
My name is Savannah Lawhon, and this past January, my daughter Layla was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), which is a cancer-like disease requiring chemotherapy to treat. Since then, we had to pull her from daycare since her immune system is severely compromised, and I started to work from home until, unfortunately, the company I worked for decided to shut down on a week's notice. We have struggled to make it by as we went from a two-income family to a one-income family. I am unable to work a full-time job due to Layla not being able to be in daycare, and her father, Kenard Madden, works on the road, usually 4 days out of the week, but sometimes 14 days in a row in Georgia. I currently just started working on the weekends, but I’m sad to say that the hours I am able to work will not get us out of the financial hardship we are in.

Our normal bills, on top of medical bills, have piled up, along with traveling expenses needed each month for Layla and me to get to Birmingham for her chemo. I am asking for donations just to get us back on our feet until she is done with chemotherapy in January, God willing.

I know that times are tough for everyone right now, and I am very timid to even make one of these, but anything helps.

I appreciate everyone who has reached out to me monthly to check on our girl; it certainly does not go unnoticed. Thank you all in advance
