My brother Mirko has always been a very strong person, and he is a truly fighter. He is young and has the biggest heart, a very loving and dedicated father with his kids and with his wife. A hard worker person that only hopes to see his little daughter get married one day. He never complaints he just goes and make things happen, and it is very heartbreaking to see him like this, he has a great spirit, and never stops smiling and making people smile.
On April 25th my brother Mirko felt dizzy and a strong headache came. He was taken to the emergency room by his wife, after the pain became intolerable.
A few hours later his and our lives would change drastically forever. But mainly for him, as he was told by the doctors that he had a bleeding brain tumor and that he needed to be treated immediately.
The tumor is malignant.
My brother lives in Peru. And with current state of emergency, along with strict curfews being enforced, where hospitals are operating at maximum capacity, he had to stay in a clinic, where he underwent surgery. This occurred on the 29th of April, a Wednesday we won’t forget.
The result was a removal of a malignant tumor almost an inch in size, causing him to remain in intensive care.
His wife told their 11 year-old daughter and their son , currently living in Spain, about the situation regarding their father’s health and condition. Needless to say, this has been destructively impacting for all of us.
I’ve had to share the details of my brother to my mother, who also lives in Peru, but has been in the US with us for months, unable to return to Peru due to COVID-19 situation. Stuck here, she is unable to visit her son or provide support. She will not be able to see him until travel from and to Peru is opened back again.
Our entire family is united and set on finding all possible financial means necessary for my brother, but we need more help.
The costs of the surgery almost 25k, the therapies, chemotherapy, the medicine, and more are scary to say the least. To make things worse, my brother suffered an injury to his spine about a year ago, which he underwent surgery for, but because of surgical malpractice, he did not recover well and was unable to return to work. This means his insurance will be gone soon, May 14 to one exact.
This is why we are asking the GoFundme community for help. Even if you donate $5, it will make an impact. Every dollar counts and will help my brother get closer to recovery and his usual happy life.
My nephews need their father, my mother needs her son, and I need my brother.

El 25 de abril mi hermano Mirko se sintió mareado y un fuerte dolor de cabeza llegó. Fue llevado a la sala de emergencias por su esposa, después de que el dolor se volvió intolerable.
Unas horas más tarde sus vidas cambiarían drásticamente para siempre. Pero principalmente para él, como le dijeron los médicos que tenía un tumor cerebral sangrante y que necesitaba ser tratado inmediatamente.
El tumor es maligno.
Mi hermano vive en Perú. Y con el estado actual de emergencia, junto con estrictos toques de queda, donde los hospitales están operando a su máxima capacidad, tuvo que permanecer en una clínica, donde se sometió a una cirugía. Esto ocurrió el 29 de abril, un miércoles que no olvidaremos.
El resultado fue una extirpación de un tumor maligno de casi una pulgada de tamaño, lo que le hizo permanecer en cuidados intensivos.
Su esposa le contó a su hija de 11 años y a su hijo, que actualmente vive en España, sobre la situación de la salud y el estado de su padre. No hace falta decir que esto ha tenido un impacto destructivo para todos nosotros.
He tenido que compartir los detalles de mi hermano con mi madre, que también vive en Perú, pero ha estado en los Estados Unidos con nosotros durante meses, incapaz de regresar a Perú debido a la situación DE COVID-19. Atrapada aquí, ella no puede visitar a su hijo o proporcionar apoyo. Ella no podrá verlo hasta que se abra de nuevo el viaje desde y hacia Perú.
Toda nuestra familia está unida y se ha puesto en encontrar todos los medios financieros posibles necesarios para mi hermano, pero necesitamos más ayuda.
Los costos de la cirugía son mas de 25.000 , las terapias, la quimioterapia, el medicamento y más son aterradores por decir lo menos. Para empeorar las cosas, mi hermano sufrió una lesión en la columna vertebral hace aproximadamente un año, por la que se sometió a una cirugía, pero debido a la mala praxis quirúrgica, no se recuperó bien y no pudo volver al trabajo. Esto significa que su seguro desaparecerá pronto, el 14 de mayo a un exacto.
