Hello All, my son Sam is 23 years old. Sadly he was diagnosed with Stage Ill Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Which basically means he has a rare cancer in his Lymph nodes and it has spread below his diaphragm.
In December of last year, Sam had undergone a surgery to find out what a suspicious lump was in his neck. And in January he received this diagnosis. Since then it has been a whirlwind of medical appointments and tests and scans.
At this point Sam has now completed his 3rd of 6 total chemo treatments. And Sam is SO DETERMINED to beat this! His Oncologist is very confident she will cure him within 6 treatments.
Sounds easy enough? Yes!
The downside is Chemo is kicking his butt. This strong and hardworking young man has really been struggling to go one day to the next. Some days Chemo brings him to his knees.
Since his first round of treatments he has had to stop working. He does have health insurance, Thank God! But his daily needs, need to be met, and his bills need to be paid (I have no idea what the end result will be regarding medical bills).
I have been providing as best as I can, his grandparents have helped a lot and his brothers have been chipping in too. But we have now reached a point where we realize this is so much bigger than we can handle.
We will be so very grateful for any help that comes our way. Sam would really appreciate some extra support. And if you can just keep him in your thoughts and prayers we will be so very thankful!
This fundraiser will be used to help with his daily needs, help to cover his bills, and any medical expenses that are not covered by insurance.
I have created some bracelets to share with anyone who would like a bracelet. Any contribution, I’d be happy to send a bracelet as a little token of appreciation and hopefully it will be a little reminder to say a little prayer everyday for a full recovery and for him to be fully cured.
Side note, if you are a friend or family member you know my family’s story. If you are new in our life, we lost Sam’s brother in 2019. Loosing one son has been so traumatic for me and our family. These 4+ years have been so hard for us to move forward in life after such a major loss. So I hope you can understand how serious this is. Each and every one of my babies are so precious and important. And they all deserve a long, happy and healthy life. We never take for granted one day, and know how easy life can slip away.
Thank you ALL, we love you!
God Bless
