As many of you know our mom was diagnosed in March of 2012 with Ovarian Cancer. The day she was diagnosed she was admitted to the hospital here in Albany, GA  and started her first rounds of chemotherapy followed by surgery.  Months later she was said to be in remission, however, October of 2014 the cancer had reared its ugly head once again.  She began her treatment with a specialist in Atlanta receiving chemotherapy every three weeks, requiring a 2 night out of town stay every treatment.  After she completed her second rounds of chemortherapy her specialty oncologist was hopeful and positive.  Though we all know cancer is a nasty disease and shows no mercy. August of this year we again received more devastating news.  Mom has made the decision to partake with a new clinical trial drug that has proven successful with other types of cancer.  She started this clinical trial September 30th and will have to travel to Atlanta, once again, every 3 weeks for treatment and occassionally in between treatments for special visits with the oncologist.  The clinical trial will last 2 years, and like her previous treatments in Atlanta will require her to have a minimum 1 night out of town stay.

Over the last 3 years, medical bills continue to mount and travel expenses continue to grow.   Shaya and I have decided, on our own, to set up this page for our mom.  Our mom is as good as they come- she will never ask for help but will be the first person to do what she can to help someone else.  She has a heart of gold and an unending faith that our God will see her through.  She has been fighting this disease with grace, hope, faith, and the strength she has within.  Monetary support is not the only support we are seeking.  Cards, phones calls, texts, and most of all prayers are appreciated.  Y'all's support, love, and prayers will mean the world to her.  We truly believe she does not know how much she is loved and cherished by everyone she has come in contact with.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."      Romans 15:13
