Hi, I am Charlotte Butcher, a former Los Alamos High School EcoClub President and current New Mexico Tech undergraduate biology student. I am excited to attend this year's Citizens' Climate Lobby Conference in Washington, D.C., in July. I have been involved in climate advocacy for multiple years, contributing through work with local thrift drives, the electrification challenge, presentations, lobbying for climate policy, tabling at local events, and various workshops. At this conference, I will meet with New Mexico members of Congress to lobby for climate policy. As members of CCL do yearly, I would like to fundraise to help with travel and conference fees. This work is especially important in ensuring our voices are heard by members of Congress as they consider federal climate policy. With these small steps, I hope we can make impacts that will help future generations and all life on Earth.
