As most of you are aware, Oni and I have relocated back to my birthplace of Oahu. We originally were going to purchase a house but circumstances, very similiar to the Bay Area's high cost of living, has prevented us from being able to afford that luxury. So instead of getting discouraged we went to our plan B (nearly 2 months into our stay and with a large dent to our savings) which was to find a rental with enough room to accommodate visiting friends and family. After a month long search and quite by chance, we found a beautiful 4br 3ba flat in a wonderful neighborhood that with a roommate we could definitely make work long term. After discussing the option with Oni, we decided to go for it and in 2 weeks have raised well over half of the needed move in costs but are still short $3000 ! Unfortunately the adult I was going in on this with dropped out about 5 days ago. This is why I am reaching out to my Community for support. With your help, we can stop studio surfing, secure a home and finally ship the rest of our belongings...
