Kinsley's Heart Help
Donation protected
My great neice, Kinsley, was born with a Ventrical Septum Defect. When she was invetro, they found a small hole that they had hoped would close up. The VSD did not close up, but in fact grew causing heart failure. The doctors rushed her to emergency surgery on her 2nd day of life. They put in a pulmanary band hoping to wait for major surgery until she was bigger and stronger. During this procedure they found the Aortic Arch was too narrow. That feeds the blood to the brain and extremities. She did not learn how to suck so she ended up with a NG tube and because of complications, recieved a G tube for feedings.
Now, at 7 months old she seemed strong enough to have her surgery. They found ASD and the VSD was as big as a nickle. The pulmanary band was becoming too restrictive. Now she is not getting rid of fluids and her left lung collapsed. She is on steroids and oxycodone which seem to be giving her some relief with the pain.
Although she has good insurance, we are asking for some financial help for lost wages. Both parents have run out of sick days. There are transportation, meal, daycare for the brother and medical costs that have become burdensome.
Would you be willing to help this young family? So much love and appreciation to you for your support in prayer and finances.
