Today we received news that completely broke our hearts. Our sweet French Bulldog, Romeo, has been diagnosed with IVDD — a painful spinal condition that can take away his mobility, his comfort, and the happy little life he’s always known. One day he was running, playing, and being his goofy, loving self… and the next, everything changed.

The specialists told us that Romeo urgently needs surgery and intensive post-operative care to give him the best chance at walking again and living a normal, pain-free life. The cost of surgery, imaging, hospitalization, and follow-up treatments is far more than we ever expected, and the timeline is incredibly tight. We are doing everything in our power to help him, but we simply cannot do this alone.

Romeo isn’t “just a dog.” He is family. He is the light of our home, the little soul who greets us with unconditional love every single day. To see him struggling, confused and hurting, is something we never imagined we would face.

Because the cost of surgery is so high and the window for treatment is so small, we have made the difficult decision to open a GoFundMe. This is not something we ever thought we’d have to do, and asking for help is one of the hardest things — but Romeo deserves every chance we can give him.
