Help Lisa Fight Breast Cancer: A Lifetime of Giving, Now She Needs Us
Our beloved sister, mother, and friend Lisa Oeun, 48, has spent her entire life putting others first. Now, in her greatest time of need, we are coming together to support the woman who has always carried the weight of the world with grace, strength, and love.
In late March 2025, Lisa received the devastating news that she has breast cancer. This May, she bravely underwent a double mastectomy. Ahead of her are months of chemotherapy and radiation, with treatments requiring long-distance travel, physical endurance, and emotional resilience. As a single mother and caretaker of her disabled sister, the financial strain is overwhelming.
A Lifetime of Selflessness
Lisa’s story is one of quiet heroism. At just 21, after the loss of both our parents, Lisa took on the responsibility of raising her five siblings—all while being the full-time caregiver for our oldest sister, who is disabled. She gave up her youth, her freedom, and her dreams so we wouldn’t end up in foster care.
She has never once complained.
She never got to truly enjoy life, but she never asked for anything in return.
Even when our oldest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, Lisa cared for her every step of the way—helping her beat it. And now, Lisa faces the same terrifying journey.
Why We Need Your Help
Lisa has always given everything she has, and now she needs us.
We are hoping to raise $20,000 to help cover:
• Medical bills not covered by insurance
• Travel expenses for out-of-town chemotherapy and radiation treatments
• Recovery support to help her heal while still caring for her children and disabled adult sister
Every dollar will go toward ensuring Lisa can focus on fighting this disease and being there for her kids—not on how she’ll afford her next appointment.
The Heart of Our Family
Lisa is the kind of person who shows up for everyone—family, friend, or stranger. Her heart is open, her strength is quiet but fierce, and she never turns away someone in need.
Now we’re asking: Please don’t turn away from her.
Whether you can give $5 or $500, your support will make a real difference. And if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others.
All donations will go directly to Lisa’s account to cover her medical expenses, travel costs, and recovery needs. Your support means the world.
With love and gratitude,
Her family
