The Great Pyrenees dog breed has been near and dear to my heart ever since I met my first as a child. Capable of being both a fearless guardian and devoted pet, the Great Pyrenees capture even non dog lovers with their soulful eyes and “pyr paw” or “lean.” Unfortunately, there are thousands that end up in shelters every year and get euthanized.
