The roar of the side-by-side was a familiar thrill for my sister, Jasmine. She loved the freedom of tearing through the trails, the wind whipping through her hair. During what was a typical ride, the SxS tipped.. Her foot was caught in the wreckage leave a deep gash.

The first hospital dismissed it as a bad cut and stitched her up, sending her home with antibiotics. Days later, the pain was unbearable, her foot swollen and radiating heat. Another trip to the same hospital, another dismissal. "Just keep it elevated," they said. Only to be called and told she broke her big toe.

my sister knew something was terribly wrong. Finally, she went to a different hospital, where doctors immediately recognized the signs: sepsis. The infection was raging through her body, a consequence of the untreated wound. She was admitted, rushed into surgery, and placed on a cocktail of antibiotics.

The relief of finally being in the right hands was quickly overshadowed by the looming mountain of medical bills. The misdiagnosis, the multiple hospital visits, the surgery, and the ongoing treatment for sepsis and wound care.

Jasmine always the fiercely independent one, is now facing a battle she cant fight alone. We started a fundraising campaign, sharing her story with anyone who would listen, hoping to ease the financial burden and allow her to focus on healing, both physically and emotionally.
