So to begin, I'm starting this go fund me to help my parents. Just a couple months ago Gina (my step mother) was diagnosed with stage 3b ovarian cancer. She went in for an ultrasound due to severe discomfort during her cycles. The ultrasound showed a suspicious growth on her ovary. The doctor thought she could remove the ovary during a hysterectomy and biopsy it. When they opened her up they found tiny white dots (spread of cancer from the ovary) all over her pelvic floor. The first procedure was stopped but during that time the doctor was able to biopsy the sites. At that point they sent her to an oncology specialist in Eugene. That's when our world was turned upside down! She's doing everything she can to be cancer free. She had to stop working in September to go through the surgeries and start chemotherapy. Unfortunately, it's very expensive and she can not afford all of the treatment necessary to become healthy.
She's taking every measure to kick this cancers butt!! She's seeing a naturopath, who is very knowledgable and able to aide her through the process of chemotherapy. The process of seeing a naturopath is costly with an average of $100 per visit, the costs of many tests as well as necessary supplements. The naturopath formulates individualized lifestyle changes that can help combat the growth of tumors as her disease has been know to have a very high reoccurrence rate. We are not comfortable with her doing chemo without the naturopathic aide. She is starting the chemotherapy later this week.
To care for her during treatment my father has had to cut back significantly on working as his job requires him to be out of town.

Anyone who knows her, knows if anyone is deserving of this she is. She has been such an amazing person her entire life. She has helped hundreds of people. Now let's all come together to be there for Gina like she has been for us.
