Update.
As hard as it is to say, Mom passed away a 1/1 at 7:50pm. She is at peace and with my brother now
Hello everyone,
My name is Stephanie. As most of you know my mother and I tragically lost my brother a few years ago and our lives changed forever.
Since the loss of Devin, my mother has been in a constant state of grief. Her health began to slowly decline. At first she didn’t want her personal business out there but she understands how important it is to share her story. To share the story of a mother who is suffering from a broken heart.
Back in June she was diagnosed with stomach ulcers and her health quickly declined. She had gotten down to 90 pounds. Unable to keep anything down. She began suffering from uncontrollable diarrhea which lead to extreme dehydration. And this continued for a month or two.
October comes around. The month of Devin’s passing. I decided to come stay the night with her on his two year anniversary. She was up in the middle of the night using the bathroom when I heard a loud crash. She was unconscious in the hallway. I immediately called 911. After extensive tests, only thing showing was malnutrition and dehydration. I decided then I was going to come stay with mom and help her get back on track. I juggled working, being a mom, and taking care of my mom and her 5 animals around the clock. Mom was bedridden at this time. Anytime she sat up and tried to walk she was would pass out. At this point she was down to 75 pounds.
November 27. Mom had a follow up appointment with her primary doctor. While at the office Mom’s heart stopped. They had to do CPR on her.
Since then she has been in the Cancer Center ICU. The doctors continue to work diligently on the situation at hand. Trying to figure out what exactly is going wrong other than malnutrition. Her blood pressure and pulse rate continue to stay unstable even with the meds they are administering to her. She is currently on Blood Pressure Support Medication. As she fights for her life.
With everything going on this has put her in financial hardship. She is falling behind on bills, medicals cost and everyday living supplies. I have been trying my best to keep up with her finances and mine as well. However, that is very hard to do on my salary and in this economy. And having to take off work to be at the hospital with her. We are asking you for help with this situation. Even the smallest donation will mean the world to us. Please share if that is all you can do. Thank you for taking the time to read and considering helping us.
More than anything, Pray for her. She and I are all each other have.
