Help Holly Kick Cancer's Ass

Donation protected
Holly is a beautiful, energetic, fun, and vivacious 27-year-old. She adores her husband, Cameron. She loves her family, fur babies and hanging out with her girlfriends. She enjoys going to concerts, and is a fashionista!

I have known Holly and her mom (Jeanne Thrift) since Holly was 13 years old. I have seen up-close and personal the struggles Holly and her parents have gone through with her lifelong Cystic Fibrosis illness. The heartache and financial toll are enormous.

Holly was diagnosed with CF when she was three years old. Holly’s ongoing health challenges prevented her from being able to finish college or hold down a steady job. Holly was in and out of the hospital and getting to the point she would need a double lung transplant. At the end of 2019, Holly was able to start a life-changing medication that treated her Cystic Fibrosis. This new drug gave her lungs the boost she needed to no longer be in immediate need of a lung transplant. She was enjoying life, and was even able to go on hikes without losing her breath! There was light at the end of this tunnel, finally! Holly could start planning for her future of working and possibly starting a family.

Then, 10 months later, she was diagnosed with stage-4 colon cancer and she started her first round of chemotherapy in January 2021, which took its toll on her body. Holly contracted COVID-19, and with her compromised immune system and CF, this was a scary time. Not to mention, she had to deal w/ all of this completely alone due to hospital protocols.

In August 2022, Holly had a long and complicated surgery to try to remove all of the cancer. Recovery has been long and hard, but after a few months, Holly started slowly feeling like herself again and went to her first live concert since the pandemic hit. A few months later she had a post-op scan, and it showed cancer had returned and is very aggressive.

Mid-February 2023, Holly had another long and aggressive surgery. There have been many complications and she's been in the hospital for over a month recovering.

We need your help! Holly aged out of her parent’s health insurance, and she is paying for her COBRA premiums, her deductibles and out of pockets are re-starting this calendar year.

As you may know, there are many things insurance simply doesn’t cover. Such as travel to her appointments, fuel, lodging for family (if she needs to stay for a long period), and additional care while she is recovering from her treatments. In addition to any financial assistance, prayers are needed for Holly and her family. Please help us lift her in prayer– the goal is that she focuses on her health and not the financial strain.
