Go Fund the New Jazz Messengers as they take on the 2014 Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival!
We have been selected as finalists in the Next Generation High School Open Combo Division, but there are no funds to send us from NY/NJ all the way to Monterey, CA, so we need YOUR help.
Your donations fund plane tickets, hotel, and transportation for the group and 1 chaperone. The competition is from March 28th-30th, but we need to finalize everything before February 28th!
The competition has many different divisions, and the New Jazz Messengers have been selected as one of six finalists in the High School Open Combo Division. After we compete, two winning groups will be selected to play at the Monterey Jazz Festical in September of 2014.
The New Jazz Messengers has been playing together for about a year and a half. The group currently includes:
Liam Werner-Trumpet
Ryan Park-Chan-Tenor Saxophone
Isaiah Thompson-Piano
Nick Dunston-Bass
Julius Rodriguez-Drums/Director
We will also be playing two Fundraising Concerts:
March 14th 7:00 pm at Union Baptist Church

March 17th 7:00 pm at Somethin' Jazz Club
