Support Our Move to a Safer Home

Hello friends, family, community...

I'm 36 years old and my boyfriend is 32, currently living under my boyfriend's mom's house. My boyfriend and I have been in a toxic environment for a long time. We have been helping his mom with the mortgage in hopes to take over, but that's no longer the case. His brother has schizophrenia and stopped taking his meds about 2 years ago, and assaulted my boyfriend and myself repeatedly. We feel stuck living here because we have been helping pay his mother's mortgage. Now, she wants to evict us because she doesn't like me for defending myself using a non-lethal weapon, pepper spray. I am trying to get us out, but the income we have been pouring into his mom's mortgage has left us with financial hardships to move.

We are hardworking adults, but the way things have gone with our current situation has made it difficult to transfer out. My boyfriend works for the state, but most of his earnings are taken out for his retirement without giving him a choice. I work an office job, but I'm not making enough to get us out with the current economy.
