need help with first months rent and deposit

I just started a new job in Worthington Indiana and there have been issues with my current landlord because he has a thing for my now ex and the only way she will come back around is with me no longer here so he gave me 2 weeks to find a place and get out we didnt sign a lease I also have a 2 year old daughter I really need the help if anyone is willing Im also willing to pay the money back once settled
