Niyona’s Road to Recovery
Donativo protegido
On May 1, 2022 Niyona was severely injured in a hit and run accident in Winston Salem, NC. On May 2nd Niyona had surgery at Atrium Health to repair multiple injuries that she sustained to her knees, legs, and ankle. On May 6th she had a second surgery to repair eye and dental injuries.
Niyona is a Freshman at Winston-Salem State University. She also is a member of the Red Sea of Sound Marching Band.
Niyona has a long road to recovery that will include additional surgeries and rehabilitation in hopes of restoring her health while allowing her to become independent of mobility services. She was discharged on May 13th from Atrium Health and currently requires 24 hour care.
Niyona, her mom(Nina), and her family are prayerful that God will continue to bless Niyona and her recovery throughout this journey. We are praying that Niyona has peace and faith in the days ahead, and that the physicians have the wisdom needed to assist her with being completely healed.
We would also like to help Niyona and Nina financially as Nina is currently unable to work due to this horrible accident. Nina will continue to be by Niyona’s side as she continues to receive necessary medical treatment. Any donation you are led to give will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all so much for your prayers for Niyona and her family. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.
