Nixuss' Spinal Surgery Starter Fund

Putting this into words is going to be a mess so please bear with me. Bare? Anyways-

In December at a visit with my general practitioner, I was given the news that I have feared and avoided my entire life. As many of you know I suffer from severe scoliosis along with other ailments. I was finally made aware that open back surgery is no longer an option for me, it is now a necessity. The upper curvature in my spine is becoming so severe that it is pulling my chest affecting my heart and my ability to breathe. Putting all hypotheticals aside I've decided to focus on the facts.

I will need to have this surgery sooner rather than later. I will need ample time off to recover after this surgery which is approximately 2-12 months. I will need to be financially stable to afford the surgery and be ok with taking time off.

Another fact is that Twitch and Freelance work is not enough to create that stability at this point in time. Unfortunately the "just get a job" meta is also not in the cards for me as it is becoming increasingly harder to breathe and to stand and do simple tasks. I will be looking for full-time WFH jobs so if anyone has any leads on those please please reach out. I am applying as often as I can and just keeping my fingers crossed. Obviously some of you have noticed an absence from me on Twitch. I hope this gives some explanation. I want to be there more than anything things are just progressing to a point where I can't breathe well enough or withstand the pain. I am more than hopeful that having this surgery will give me the chance to work, stream, care for, and provide for myself and others once again. Realistically this surgery is still out of my grasp but I am hoping to be able to be in a position to have it within the next 2 years. I am sorry for not being there, not responding, not being present. I hope to be myself again someday in the future!

I am starting another GoFundMe to kick-start this challenging journey. The amount of the goal will include the funds needed to clear my debt for future stability, rent/bills for 4 months as I am most likely unable to work during at least that time, and the cost of my health insurance/meds for the next year. I am unable to add the cost of the surgery to this goal as I am unsure of the exact number at this time.

Nothing is expected at all. I am reminded daily of the kindness, generosity, and goodness you have all brought to my life and because of you all I am doing my best to be hopeful during this time. Thank you and see you Nix time
