Nixon's Neck - Paying It Forward

'Tell your story'... here it goes...

Friday, 19th August 2022 started off just like every other day, that is until 4:25pm when our world changed… it’s not a branchial cyst; it’s a cancerous tumour, a BCOR sarcoma.

Our 12 year old son, Nixon, was in for the fight of his life (you can follow his story/page on Facebook, appropriately titled "Nixon's Neck").

Thankfully we have the most incredible humans in his corner, our herd (affectionately known as "the wrong herd" and all of the staff and volunteers at The Royal Children's Hospital.

Fast forward from Friday, 19th August 2022, and a whole lot has happened. There have been numerous appointments, tests and scans, two operations involving four procedures, with chemotherapy commencing on Monday, 21st November 2022.

Why have we set up this GoFundMe page?

It's simple; we purely want to "Pay It Forward" and ensure that we can help every child, every family, who goes through the doors at The Royal Children's Hospital. And we have "the wrong herd" behind us all of the way, wanting to help, wanting to donate, wanting to make a difference!

Note: this is a safe, secure and transparent way of donating. All funds donated/raised will be deposited to The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal Limited.

Donations will be made to PayPal Giving Fund Australia (ABN 65 106 950 945), a Public Ancillary fund and a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, which will deliver the funds to your chosen charity.

PayPal Giving Fund Australia transfers the funds on a monthly basis, around the end of the month and usually within 15-45 days of the date the donation was made (or 90 days if the charity is not enrolled with PPGF Australia).
