Nixon needs us, for a big fight ahead #Nixonstrong

Let me introduce you to our Nixon a vibrant 6 year old little boy who is full of life, laughter, and love. He enjoys playing baseball and basketball, snuggling his dog Emma girl, and he really loves a good game of cards or any board game. In May his world drastically changed! His more recent weeks have been full of sleepless nights, pain, days in the hospital, testing, blood draws, CT scans, MRI’s, Xray’s, undergoing painful biopsies and a PET scan. He will soon start Intensive chemo treatments no child should have to face, for a minimum of one year.

Nixon was most recently diagnosed with a very rare form of Blood Cancer, 1 in 500,000 kids are diagnosed with this.

This journey is emotionally, physically, and financially overwhelming. His family is doing everything they can, but the cost of life-saving treatments, traveling to specialists, and time off work is quickly becoming more than they can handle. The hardship and stress doesn’t stop there. Unfortunately, Nixon does not have health insurance. All of his treatments have been out of pocket. Just these initial treatments have added up quickly, and this is where we need all of you!! This is not an easy ask for Austin, Taylor and the family but this is where they have decided to put their pride down and be vulnerable in a huge time of need.
