Hi there-
My name is Katie and I'm Nicole Goudreau- Green's cousin and am overseeing this account with Nicole's permission. I wanted to take some time to share Nicole's story.
The Backstory
Nicole is a mother, a wife, a social worker, and an all-around kick-ass kind of human being. She has a wonderfully supportive husband Terence, an adorably busy 5-year-old son Elliot and a brand new baby boy Ethan.
Nix's Story
- July, 2017- Nicole was diagnosed with liposarcoma. She underwent surgery to remove her tumor. The surgery was fairly extensive and while it left Nicole missing some significant leg muscle and mass, the surgeons were able to remove her tumor with clean margins.
- July, 2018- Nicole was one-year cancer free- although still working toward regaining strength in her leg.
- January, 2019- Nicole's routine scans revealed a tumor in her abdominal cavity suggesting her cancer had metastasized, and a biopsy confirmed stage 4 cancer. She began chemotherapy treatments, had another surgery to remove the tumor, and was cancer-free in June 2019.
- March, 2022- Just 2 weeks after delivering her beautiful baby boy, Ethan, Nicole went in for her routine scans. Scans revealed that her cancer had once again come back. Nicole has posted an update on her most recent scans below.
