Nisha's London Marathon for Scope Charity

There are 16 million disabled people in the UK. That’s one in four of us. Life is harder when you’re disabled. You're twice as likely to be unemployed, getting care is a struggle and the cost of living is higher. It’s wrong and unacceptable.

In April 2024 I will be running the London Marathon for Scope Charity. Scope is a disability charity in England and Wales that provides practical advice and emotional support to disabled individuals to help create a fair and equal society. This is an issue I feel strongly about as we help bridge the gap to create greater inclusivity and support for disabled individuals within society. By participating in the London Marathon, I see an incredible opportunity to channel my energy into a cause that I care about, whilst challenging myself mentally and physically. I aim to raise not only funds but also awareness for the essential work they do.
