Aloha family, friends and those who have a moment to remember,
On November 3, we lost one of our brightest lights as our beloved Nisha suddenly and unexpectedly passed on. With the heaviest of hearts, this GoFundMe was created as a channel for those who loved her, and those who didn’t have the honor to meet her, to show their support and pull together during the darkest of times.
As a shining example of strength and courage, Nisha faced her health obstacles with the warmest smile and a silent bravery. It wasn’t just her colorful hair that brightened a room but her compassion, kindness and humor.
Although her time with us was cut short, her contributions to humanity and legacy will remain. Even on Earth she was an angel to many through her work at hospice and her fostering of animals in need. Those who knew her are lucky, especially her cat who cruised around in the best carrier EVER.
In times like these, it’s important to remember that it’s not just the amount of time that we love, but the degree passion and selflessness of how we love. Not many can say they married their high school sweetheart, but Nisha and her husband, are a rare breed. Nothing I can write here will do them justice. This is just a case of if you know, you know. So thank you Nisha and Matt for allowing me to witness true love, and all its beautiful quirkiness.
If you’re still reading this, I’m hoping you’ve caught on that I am talking about one of my best friends, a most trusted confidant and an overall amazing human.
Although not related by blood, Nisha and Matt are family and I hope they both know how deeply they are loved by so many.
Nisha lived a life that was engaged with the present, hopeful for the future and respectful of the past.
I humbly ask you consider donating what you can to help support Nisha’s family and her end of life costs. Anything you can spare is immensely appreciated.
To Nisha, I wish you didn’t have to go. Heaven just got one of the brightest and most colorful of angels. Rest in love.
