Nisha representing Team USA in Ecuador!

Family, Friends – This is Nisha. I competed in the USANKF in Chicago, Illinois July 11-14th and won first place (Gold) at the National Karate 12-13 age Female Elite Kumite +47 Kg division. I am the number one seed to compete at the Junior Pan American Championships in Guayaquil, Ecuador.I won 5 rounds competing against competitors from all over the country, and won a convincing final 6-0. The USANKF is national governing body for karate in the USA, and is sanctioned by the United States Olympic Committee. 
 
I have been learning Shotokan Karate since I am 5 years old at Massdojo under Sensei Eric Rossini. I have been competing at the National level since 2015. I have won Gold 4 out of the 5 years (2015 Gold Kumite, 2016 Gold Kumite, 2017 Gold Kumite, 2018 Bronze Kumite, 2019 Silver at Junior International Cup in Vegas, 2019 Gold Medalist in Elite).
 
This year is extremely special to me because I got the opportunity to compete at the Elite level and qualified to compete at the Pan American championships representing TeamUSA. The Pan American Karate championships is a special event where 37 different countries come together to compete. For this, I will be traveling to Ecuador between August 26 - September 2
