My wife Nisa gave birth to our first child, a beautiful 7 lb baby boy, at the end of September. A few days later, I woke at 3 am to find her collapsed on the floor, unable to move. She suffered a massive brain aneurysm and needed several emergency surgeries to save her life. But her spirit is strong, and after weeks in the ICU she is making great strides in her recovery at a rehabilitation hospital. Unfortunately, because of the location of the injury, her mobility will take a long time to return and our 4-story townhome in Philadelphia will pose a big challenge even after she is released. We are raising funds to help cover medical costs and make our home more accommodating and allow her to do what she wants most - care for our son.
