Thank you for visiting the crowdfunding page for Columbia University’s production of Nine Ways to Plead with a God.
Nine Ways to Plead with a God is a new full-length play and Columbia MFA Playwriting thesis written by Kanika Asavari Vaish, directed by Liz Peterson, stage managed by Sage Spitz, produced by Vivian Cao and Kanika Asavari Vaish, with dramaturgy by Liv Rigdon and Andrew Agress.
In Nine Ways, seven clueless tourists and one mysterious mountaineer attempt to climb Mount Darshan - a fictitious mountain (based on the real Mount Kailash) in the Himalayas, believed to be the abode of several Godly presences. Their physical limits, relationships to one another, and perceptions of reality are tested with each meter they climb, and as they become more desperate, pleading to God seems like their only option for survival.
There will be three performances of our production:
