Nine Pound Yorkie Companion Needs Surgery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Penny, and ten years ago when my husband was still suffering from severe orthopedic pain (as a result of a 2004 car accident) and was not getting the exercise he should or enjoying life. I searched for a solution. He had always wanted a Yorkshire Terrier, so I managed to find a puppy and brought it home one day. He named her Pip, and caring for that puppy gave him a new lease on life.
My husband, Gregg, and Pip share an unbreakable bond. They have faced life's challenges together. The greatest challenge recently has been Gregg's cancer diagnosis. Their happy life has become a series of painful doctor's appointments, treatments, and mounting medical bills.
Now as he battles his illness, Pip herself faces a heartbreaking challenge. A devastating injury has left her unable to walk without severe pain and her veterinarian has just recommended an expensive orthopedic surgery to give Pip a chance at a pain free life.
While we are struggling both with Gregg's illness, and Pip's pending surgery, we are finding this situation overwhelming. We know we can't do it alone. That little nine pound dog means so much to both of us and she has provided him the love that has carried him through thick and thin. Now she needs help. We are hoping that the compassion of strangers could help us overcome the financial burden we currently face.
We are starting this fundraiser, pouring our hearts into the story about the incredible bond between Gregg and Pip.
Please consider supporting Gregg and Pip on their journey by making a donation. Your contribution will not only help cover the medical expenses but also ensure that Pip continues to support Gregg in his medical journey. Together we can make a difference and help write the next chapter of their story. If only 150 people donate twenty dollars each, Pip can have her surgery.
