Nina is my beautiful baby girl. She is a one eye, herpes positive cat, that my girlfriend, Jill and I rescued 3 years ago. Recently she pulled a part, part of her toy. That toy is now lodged in her intestines and hanging partially out of her backside. The toy is similar to a string or streamer. It is very dangerous and if not treated could cause her intestines to bunch, which would result in her death.

I rushed her two days ago to an emergency vet. That vet performed an ultrasound and said that there was good news. It looked like most of the string was lodged in her colon and not in her intestine.

this relief was short lived. After 48 hours the streamer was still hanging out of her backside.

this morning I rushed her to a second emergency vet, after the first told me we would wait up to six hours as her condition was not a priority.

The second vet x-rayed her and determined that the string was indeed lodged in her intestines and that emergency surgery would need to be done, at the price you see above.

the only other option, being to put her down. I chose to save her.

Those who know me, know I’m not one to ask for help, financial, or otherwise.

I implore you, please help us offset the cost of Nina’s surgery. Doing so will mean the world to us.
