Ninah's Bone Marrow Transplant

Donation protected
Ninah was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), an aggressive blood and bone marrow cancer, in early September 2016.  Treatments of monthly weeklong chemotherapy were started right away. The treatments have put her into remission but her doctors have recommended a bone marrow transplant for the best chance of preventing recurrence.

The bone marrow transplant will take place in Seattle, Washington. Ninah and a caregiver will live there for the duration of the transplant process, which typically lasts about four months. Living close to the hospital is a requirement for treatment, in order to have quick access to the doctors and reduce the risk of complications.

Ninah is a wife and mother of two children and is one college semester away from earning a bachelor’s degree. We live in Montana and will all coordinate to spend some time in Seattle and some time at home.

Although our medical insurance has and will cover a lot of the expenses, the bills are starting to pile up. The added cost of the apartment in Seattle, travel expenses, and medical expenses are overwhelming and we are asking for any help that you can provide.  Every dollar donated will ease the burden during this challenging time.

Please share and help if you can. Thanks for the thoughts and support!
