This fundraiser is for the 2026 Nimaga Days basketball tournament, an event organized in honor of Adam Nimaga, Vanderbilt class of 2025. Adam was an avid competitor and basketball player, and felt strongly about the power of sport to unite and strengthen communities.
All proceeds from this tournament will support two organizations that use basketball to create meaningful impact:
1) The USA Basketball Foundation works to expand access to the game by building courts, funding youth programs, and creating opportunities for underserved communities to engage with basketball in a positive and structured environment.
2) PeacePlayers International uses basketball as a tool to unite young people across divides, promoting leadership, understanding, and peace in communities affected by conflict and inequality around the world.
Together, these organizations reflect the power of sport to not only bring people together, but to create lasting social change.
All proceeds from this event will be evenly distributed between both organizations. To play in the tournament, each player must donate at least $6. Teams must have a minimum of three players, so the minimum donation per team is $18.
To establish a team, teams can donate all together or individually. If donated together, issue the donation on behalf of your team name, and send a screenshot of the donation, team name, and roster to the email address listed below. If donating individually, issue the donation on behalf of "your name—team name," and similarly send an email with a screenshot and your team's name to the email address listed below.
