Nilo Nallas Memorial Fund

My Father, Petronilo Nallas, had been fighting a battle with cancer and als since being hospitalized in 2015. In 2020, he lost his life to the battle.

Even while going through all the hardships of medication, feeding tubes, breathing machines, the loss of his muscle and involuntary breathing functions, not being able to talk, he still sat up, put on a smile, loved us and was there for us.

We love him dearly, not just because he is our dad and our champion, but because he was a great human on earth.

The smartest, kindest, most giving person who I've been given the pleasure to have as my dad. Every good I attempt, every loving thing I've accomplished, every moment of self reflection and sacrifice, I've learned to do because he taught me through example (and with some good ole talks). He was the truly the best person to me and the best dad and grandpa!!
Thank you for always being so good to us.

Five years was a long time to be hanging on forhis family.

We hope to raise some money for my mother to handle the upcoming hospital costs, relieve a bit of funeral service costs, and bereavement, as she has been a soldier who did everything and anything for him.

Her life was dedicated to easing his pain and getting him the best treatment, as he would’ve done for any of us, and as any of us would do for our loved ones. My mom tirelessly stayed by his side and never left. She was constantly searching for hope, doing research on new medication, finding ways to nourish his body and soul, tending to him, signing him up for stem cell treatment, therapy, anything that she would research and discover, she’d try to get it for him. He was one of very few people with als who was able to have a computer so he can communicate with medical staff. She did that. She made it happen for him. Most importantly, she was always there encouraging him and feeding him her love and support. My mom’s whole existence during these 5 years was focused on giving my dad the best, to the sometimes annoyance of many medical staff, but her dedication is and will always be the most admirable showing of love and commitment.

With the upcoming holidays, it will surely be difficult as my mom has dedicated so much to bringing him home.

We hope you can donate any tiny amount to support my awesome and wonderful mom, and my father who was our light. We humbly thank you for supporting my family through this difficult transition.

with a full heart and humble thanks,
Jamie Nallas
