Niles Mann Gengenbach, 25, passed away Friday, July 8 at his home in Corpus Christi. Born October 13, 1990 in Corpus Christi, Niles grew up and attended school in Port Aransas. He is survived by his mother, Shelby Dickson of Corpus Christi, his father, Bill Gengenbach of Hawaii, sisters Zoe Dickson of Corpus Christi and Abby Gengenbach of Houston, and a brother Esteban Gengenbach of Miami. He is also survived by his grandmother, Debbie Waites of Adel, Georgia, his grandfather, Greg Waites and wife, Ann, of Norman Park, Georgia. He is also survived by great-grandmother Carolyn Waites of Norman Park, Georgia and great-grandfather, E. L. "Mann" Waites and wife, Vicky, of Norman Park, Georgia, as well as great-great grandmother, Myrtice Suber, of Norman Park, Georgia.
Niles had been suffering mental illness for the past 5 years. Anyone whom knew Niles, knew he was a sweet, loving, and bright young man. He adored his baby sister Zoe Dickson and was cared for by his loving mother Shelby Waites Dickson along with many other family members and friends. It is so saddening and to lose such a young son to this disease, and we will never understand why God took him so early, However, there are no accidents in God's plans so we have to have Faith through this time that God's will is present in Nile's passing.
I ask that at this time in lieu of flowers you could find it in your hearts to donate what funds you can to help the family out during this time of suffering. There will be many unforseen costs associated to the tragic circumstances and any amount you can spare is greatly appreciated.
In Loving Memory of Niles Mann Gengenbach
