Nila Needs Us
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for a dear friend and co-worker who recently was found non-responsive in her apartment where she lived alone with her two dogs and cat.
After not showing up for work without calling in for two days in a row, Gulfstream sent out a security team to do a well check. Simultaneously, her family had also become concerned which prompted her Mother to call the police for a well check. At that time, no one had heard from Nila since Saturday. Gulfstream security and the local police department arrived at her apartment at about the same time. Nila had laid in her bed suffering a brain hemorrhage for at least 48 hours before she was found.
Nila is from North Carolina. She moved down here for a job at Gulfstream as an inspector, hoping for a fresh start in life. All of her family, including her two children, still reside in North Carolina.
Nila has made many friends and touched a lot of hearts since she moved to Georgia. We are all very concerned about her days and months to come. She is still in an induced coma, but is showing signs of responsiveness. Nila managing to live for at least 48 hours in a condition that normally would be critically damaging after 10 minutes means she is already a miracle! She is a fighter and we are believing God for a full recovery!
Her friends and co-workers are asking for help to pay her bills while she is in ICU and possibly longer, depending on her length of recovery; to help pay any medical expenses and/or deductibles not covered by insurance; in helping her children and family drive back and forth to be with her and handle her affairs while she is unable, as well as any other unexpected expenses. Anything you can spare will be more than appreciated.
