On November 27th, 2018, at approximately 10 o'clock in the evening our father, Nikolay Kishchenko at the age of 52, passed away.
For the past year and a half our father has been battling with a heart condition that the doctors were doing their best to treat, but unfortunately were not able to identify the root cause of his unique condition.

Our father went to his doctors appointment yesterday morning and was scheduled for a biopsy for today. The doctors were planning to drain the excess fluids collecting in his body in order to ease the stress on his heart and other organs. Doctors were advising to add our dad to the top of the transplant list for a new heart and liver, in attempt to improve his livelihood and extend his years of life.

After a long day of doctor appointments and while awaiting his next day appointment, our father was at home resting in bed. He began singing psalms about his love and faith in God. Later that evening, he began not feeling well and asked for his children to keep him company. His children were by his side and sharing conversation about their life and memories with him, not knowing that this would be the last conversations they would share together.

After the children spent time with their father they went downstairs to get ready for bed, and our mom was going back upstairs to be with him. In the short period of time, while the children left the room and before our mom walked in, our dads heart stopped beating. Mom walked in to find him unconscious and not breathing. We immediately called 911 and started performing CPR in an attempt to get his heart beating again. Paramedics arrived on scene, took over CPR procedures, and transported him to Mercy San Juan Hospital where they continued their attempts for another 30 minutes. Unfortunately, their attempts were unsuccessful and the Lord brought him home. The family all rushed to the hospital to be together with our dad and spent the next few hours saying our goodbyes.

Our father was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who left this Earth too soon. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and brothers. He will be remembered always and forever and we are comforted knowing that he is no longer in pain and is now with his Heavenly Father, his dad, and his sister.

Due to his heart condition our father was unable to work for the majority of this year. The children came together with financial support ever since he stopped working and we have been doing everything we can to sustain the family. We were not prepared for the Lord to take our dad so soon and would appreciate any support spiritually, physically, and financially to cover funeral and medical expenses, as well as to support our mom moving forward.

Thank you for your continued outpouring of support and prayers. Please continue to keep our family and especially our mom in your prayers; she lost her life partner, soul mate, and the love of her life. Thank you and may God bless you and your families abundantly! Remember to always cherish your loved ones, because every second counts.
