Niko Paskos' Recovery Fund

Aloha family and friends,

Niko Paskos, was recently involved in a horrible car accident on Sunday, December 15, 2024. He shattered his C-7 vertebrae, resulting in a severe spinal cord injury and paralysis. In addition, he fractured his pelvis and scapula. He is currently in ICU and once released, will have a long recovery requiring rehabilitation and physical therapy.

Niko was born in Austin, Texas, and grew up in the Shady Hollow neighborhood. He attended Westoak Woods Baptist Pre-School, Baranoff Elementary, Bailey Middle School and Bowie High School. Niko has made many life-long friends in Shady Hollow and served as a lifeguard at the Capistrano Park Neighborhood Pool. After graduating high school he attended Hawai’i Pacific University on scholarship. He is an Honors student studying Biology with a Pre-Med focus. He's also entertaining the idea of joining the Air Force National Guard to become a pilot, so he can remain in Hawai'i upon graduation. While living in Honolulu, Niko has become an avid surfer and loves hiking all over Oahu and running up Diamond Head Mountain. He was looking forward to returning to Hawai'i after winter break to complete his Sophomore year and get back in the Pacific Ocean. Niko is a foodie, loves traveling, is academically driven and has embraced the Aloha spirit. Whether Niko is in Austin or Honolulu he makes a lasting impression on everyone he meets. This is apparent from the abundance of love and support he has received from near and far.

Niko still has a long road ahead of him and we want to be able to provide the best opportunity for him to accomplish his goals. We are asking for support for his medical treatment. No donation is too small and we appreciate anything you are able to contribute to his care.
