Help Niko Navigate a Big Life Shift

One of my best friends, Niko LaFountain is navigating a gigantic, unexpected shift in their life. In the early morning hours of February 22, 2023, Niko’s long term spouse, Marlena LaFountain, passed away in her sleep only a month after they celebrated their 11th anniversary.

Niko is now facing an incredibly challenging time. Between trying to figure out a new living situation they can afford, coordinating end of life items for Marlena and other unexpected costs - things are piling up and adding a lot of pressure to an already emotionally intense situation. We are hoping to fundraise enough to allow Niko the mental space to grieve their suddenly deceased wife and allow the opportunity to gather resources to move into the next phase of their life.
